Today for the first time ever I was asked to do remote assistance for a Vista machine. Which I found to be much harder than I expected, the other user sends a file with what appears to be the connection data scrambled up along with the user name and a password token. Under Vista apparently all I do is double click this.. under Linux I experience deep fail as it opens in Firefox.
Now clearly we must be able to improve on this, I am to understand we have tools to enable this but during quick research I found nothing that would open the Invitation file.
Oh dear Internet, how to make this work out of the box on any Linux machine (or at least have the wonderful PackageKit pop up with an offer to install the needed components).
